Knowing I was different with my OCD, anorexia and the voices that no one else seemed to hear made me feel isolated, disconnected. I took everything too seriously. I analysed things to death. I turned every word, and the intonation of every word over in my mind trying to decide exactly what it meant, whether there was a subtext or an implied criticism. I tried to recall the expressions on people’s faces, how those expressions changed, what they meant, whether what they said and the look on their faces matched and were therefore genuine or whether it was a sham, the kind word touched by irony or sarcasm, the smile that means pity.
When people looked at me closely could they see the little girl in my head, being abused in those pornographic clips projected behind my eyes?
That is what I would often be thinking and such thoughts ate away at the façade of self-confidence I was constantly raising and repairing.

"After 2 back surgeries (age 28 and age 38), I was making the bed one morning, several years ago, when I had a sudden surge of searing pain, in my lower back. I was terrified about fusion surgery, because I was told that was the next step. After having seen my GP for 2 months for this pain, his nurse began to bully him for prescribing for me, and bullying me, saying I didn't need the medication, even though I was walking with a cane at that time. Next was a rollercoaster ride, going from PM doc to PM doc, who either didn't want to take me as a patient, or who wanted to prescribe some terrifying medications, which I was warned against. I finally found a good PM doc, who took my pain seriously and that began a 7+ year relationship, with monthly appointments, for check ups and prescriptions, which I really didn't want to be on, in the first place. When I began working where I am as a personal assistant, I had to find a new doctor. The bullying began again, in earnest, and I left the doctor's office one day, in tears. I vowed to never go back, but was really down, because of the pain I was in and the monthly fight. I was tired. An incident happened here, which then added mind chatter and terror to the list. I found Shahin's recordings on Youtube, and listened to one, the 5th night, after 4 nights of being sleepless, except for the occasional nightmare, when I was able to drift off. I had no idea, the benefits I was going to receive from that experience, but that night, I was able to sleep without nightmares. I was so grateful for a good night's sleep, that I emailed to thank him. We emailed back and forth, and I began his "Home Study Program", and became his client. About 2 weeks after beginning to experience his program, to my complete amazement, I noticed that I was pain-free. That night, I decided to see what would happen, if I didn't take my medication. NO PAIN! I woke up in the middle of the night, No pain! The following morning, when I realized that I still had no pain, I emailed Shahin to let him know. That was several months ago, and to this day, I have no more pain in my back, I am no longer using a cane or riding on the carts in the store. The pain just vanished! For me, it was and is, truly a miracle and I will be forever grateful. Before Shahin, I was truly at a point, where I thought I would have that pain forever. It was that bad. Now, I am elated and my life is taking leaps and bounds forward. I credit Shahin's program for this too. I highly, highly recommend him and his programs, and cannot even begin to describe, how truly fantastic it feels, to not hurt anymore."

6 Ingredients to Overwhelm and Stress
First, let’s look at a few common causes that leaves us feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
The number one source for stress and overwhelming anxiety is our expectation on a particular outcome. In trying to satisfy that expectation, we place unnecessary pressure on ourselves, thus causing stress.
When we place strict expectations on ourselves or on a particular outcome, if things do not turn out the way we imagined, we feel a sense of discrepancy between what we want and what is in front of us.
2. Take on Too Much
We have an innate drive triggered by survival instincts to please others and to avoid displeasing. As a result, many of us are not good at saying no. Or sometimes, our well intentions have us committed to more than we can realistically take on.
Observe yourself with awareness next time you want to say ‘no’ to something, but feel a resistance within yourself. It is natural for us to want to win people’s approval, and we don’t want to let others’ down. As a result, we often give in to this tension of unease that we feel, and we sacrifice our time and energy.
